When we go

The annual food tour is timed to coincide with the major Buddhist festival of Essala, the commemoration of the bringing to Sri Lanka of Buddha’s tooth as a holy relic. The date for the festival is set by the full moon and so varies each year between late July and early to mid-August. Final dates are usually known in December of the preceding year.

Who we travel with

On the ground, our partner is Jetwing Eco Holidays, Sri Lanka's premier eco tourism company.

I have nothing but high praise for the Jetwing crew.Hetti was an extremely knowldgeable guide. His presentation, punctuality and response to our requirements were without question. I enjoyed his company, personality and good humour. I wil miss him.
